Received a Cultural Commission Community Grant for the following: 

 

Cinco de Mayo and Dia de los Muertos Events Including hiring Colorado Youth Mariachi Ensemble for repeat performances, cultural crafts including historical significance by making tissue paper flowers & papel picado. Partnering with local Hispanic Arts non-profit, CHAC to provide free sugar skull decorating workshop. Grant funds were also used for materials to create a beautiful community ofrenda/altar for Dia de los Muertos.

Whether you’re looking to add unique pieces to your home or office, your purchase will directly support the WRCC’s Community Grant Program. In addition to the art sale, enjoy light refreshments sponsored by Mestizo Brew Cantina and The Wheelie Bean, and family-friendly interactive art activities hosted by Sweet Ridge Studios. 

 

In partnership with Lutheran Medical Center Foundation, WRCC is showcasing and selling art from the Lutheran Medical Center Legacy campus to ensure that it remains within our community. Pieces available will include framed photographs and prints. All proceeds from donations and art sales will support the WRCC’s Community Grant Program.

 

The Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission works to promote culture and the arts, oversee public art, and provide art enrichment opportunities that benefit Wheat Ridge residents.
